HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Well I was working on a Christmas Card, but things got a little hack tick and I didn't have time to finish it. Well Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. I'll still post it before the year ends. :D

Naturalization

Well it has been a long waiting process, but I finally did it. Today around one I officially became a US citizen. I first came here when I was three with my family, at the time of five and now seven, as a permanent resident. Ever since than there was talk about becoming a citizen. First it was my older sister, a couple of years ago, than my brother earlier this year, and than out of the blue my mom said, that's it we are all becoming citizens. Since this summer, we turned in our applications and it has been a waiting game since than. First you turn in your application with the added documents that they need. Second step, you get finger printed. Third step, "THE TEST/INTERVIEW!!!!!" Not hard if you study well, but the nerve wracking part of it is the waiting and not knowing which questions they will ask. When you are successful with all three step, comes the Naturalization Oath. My mom has done it and so have I, the only and last person that we are waiting for is my father. With this I can now vote!!!

PS-Next thing on the list is learning how to drive (@.@)

Trash Can

This is a trash can that I modeled a while back. I am going to re-do it, because there are some stuff on it that I want to fix. I modeled, textured, light, and rendered it in 3DS MAX. I will be re-doing it in Maya.

Today I was doing some cleaning and you know how you tend to find things that you have totally forgotten about or never could remember where you put. Well today I found one of my first assignments from Animation I class. Presenting "The Metamorphosis" project. LOL

Ferugs's Ball Roll

This is one of the other animations that I have been working on. I still have to fix some things on it and than I will do the clean up and post the final one too. Oh yeah, his name is Fergus Firdus.

Animals

These are sketches that I had in my sketch book.
This first one is a Polar Bear from the Lincoln Park Zoo, on a weekend when I went to a sketch crawl with a group of fellow animators.

This one is a sun bear.

Both bears seem to of been posing that day, actually it seemed like all the animals were posing or they probably sensed that winter was getting closer so they were reserving their energy for hibernation. Any who, they where fun to draw.

These other two drawings are just sketches that I did on the train as I headed into town for work.

Lunch Menu Images

At the begging of last week I had a family member ask me if I could do some images for their lunch menus at their job. They are very simple designs. At first I did the BBQ wings in photoshop, but once I was done, they looked too real!! So I scratched that out and stuck with simple designs.

The Making of Glass

Yesterday I was on my computer almost all day since I woke up. I was working on multiple things, and one of them was figuring out how to make glass in Maya. I had difficulties with the setting but I finally got it at the end and I am still seeing what the glass texture can do.
This first image is my first test, as you can see it was too dark.

The following are more test trials later on that day after figuring out the settings.

Claud VanDirb WalkN Sit update

Hi, well here is a more updated animation to my walk and sit. I am still doing clean ups on the final animation, so hopefully I will have the final one posted up by next week. I have gotten busy with other things, but I am still working on my animations.

Sketches

The first sketch is one that I started last week and finished today. At first it was just her standing there, and the flames came, after that the door, and at the end it evolved to what you see now. I just kept adding to it. There are somethings that I am going to change on the first one, that I have gotten input on, as well as the second one. Now the second one I started today and I ran out of room for her feet so that is why her feet ended the way they did. >.< I'll fix that too.

Lilia's Hats prt01

Here is an animation that I did in a class called Computer Animation Studio in Spring 2006, where you work on a project from start to end. I had rendering problems, so all the textures and lighting don't show up as they should. But hopefully I will be able to fix the rendering problem and finish this project.

Apple

Well I have not posted anything 3D in a while so just for fun here is a quickly made 3D apple that I made using nurbs. I mostly model in polys but I have something coming up that requires me to use nurbs, so this is me trying to get use to using nurbs again. LOL. I had a few problems with putting a shader on the stem, it is suppose to be brown, but came out green.

Claud N Fergus Colored

Here are Claud and Fergus colored in photoshop. Claud is a character that I am animating in a walk and sit animation and I am using Fergus in a ball roll animation. The animation for the walk and sit is almost done, just some minor tweaks here and there.

Wooohoooo! My first animated post. I have been taking this animation workshop this summer and it has been a lot of help to my drawing and animation skills. One of the first assignments was a walk and sit. Enjoy. Any input on how to improve it is welcomed.

Here is a character that I have been animating for an Animation workshop that I am currently taking. I am a 3D animator, but it feels good to be animating with a pencil and paper again. He is inked and colored with water colors. When I finalize my animation I want to water color the whole thing. I will post my animation once I am done with it later on.

With this piece I used China marker and water colors. I wanted to see if the China Marker would be affected. I think for an experiment it turn out alright ^.^
